Does your child obey?

Obedience is foundational. It was the first lesson God taught in the Garden of Eden. Obedience is foundational for the home, school and society. It is absolutely necessary for law and order to prevail. If we lived in a world where everyone thought they were the center of the universe...well, wait a minute, we do! Look what our society had come to.

So I ask you this question. Does your child obey? Obedience should always be immediate, instant, without question or argument. Why should you child obey? Obedience can be a matter of physical and spiritual safety! Picture your child running towards a busy street, if you tell him to stop and he runs right into oncoming traffic, the end result is terrible. Your child should stop without question! If our children do not develop a submissive heart, they can be lead away from God. If they cannot learn to obey their earthly father, how will they ever be able to obey their Heavely Father.

Here is how God teaches obedience.
Lay down the rule clearly and in advance.
Explain blessings or penalty.
Enforce!

Discipline your son, for in that there is hope: do not be a willing party to his death.
Proberbs 19:18

Children obey your parents in the Lord; for this is right. Honor your father and mother which is the first commandment with a promise; that it may be well with you and you may live a long life.
Ephesians 6:5 -3

October is here!

October is here and we are seeing pumpkins and scarecrows everywhere. The Fall Festival is just a week away. Don't miss this wonderful event that is fun for the whole family.

We are learning a new fall song this month! Sing to the tune of "I'm a Little Teapot".

I'm a little scarecrow stuffed with hay,
standing out in the field all day.
When I see a crow I like to shout,
Hey Mr. Crow you better get out!
